Tampered Tap & Chip reader Shopify

If a Shopify reader is tampered with or damaged it will enter a tampered state and must be replaced

Expected Outcome: Shopify will send you a replacement reader

Tools Required: Shopify account. Something to take pictures with

Steps to Perform 

1. Head to https://help.shopify.com/en/questions#/login and login with your Shopify credentials
2. After you login choose the Chat option
3. Type out what your issues is and start the chat
4. You will be asked what your issue is and most likely you will be asked to send a photo of the device in question as well and the SN of the device
5. Answer any questions the support agent asked and you should be send a replacement reader
