Select and delete multiple emails at one time on MacBook Mail app
It's easy to delete one email at a time on the Mail app, but it's less intuitive to select multiple emails to delete at once. Follow these steps to learn how.
Prerequisites: Basic Mail app navigation
Difficulty Level: Member • Nerd • Platypus
Estimated Time: 1-2 minutes
Expected Outcome: Multiple/all selected emails are deleted
Tools Required: Macbook, time, and patience
Steps to Perform
- Open Mail application on the computer
- Click Edit at the top, left
- Click 'Select all' (if you want to select multiple but not all, choose this option and then press and hold Command or Cmd button while clicking on the emails you don't want to include to delete)
- Select the trashcan icon to delete. Alternatively, you can go back into the Edit option and select Delete from there as well
