      How to unjam a paper shredder

      If you paper shredder is jammed try some of these fixes

      Prerequisites: A working paper shredder

      Difficulty Level: Member • Nerd • Platypus

      Estimated Time: 5 - 15 minutes

      Tools Required: Your paper shredder

      Method 1

      1. Unplug the shredder
      2. Empty the wastebasket
      3. Set your shredder to reverse and plug it back it
        1. Check your shredders manual to find the reverse setting

      Method 2

      1. Unplug the shredder
      2. Remove the shredder/top portion from the wastebasket
      3. Remove any jammed paper form the blades
