How to Reset your Gmail Password

This Guide will show you your different options for resetting your Gmail Password

Steps to Perform 

Web Browser:

Change your password

  1. Open your Google Account. You might need to sign in.
  2. Under "Security," select Signing in to Google.
  3. Choose Password. You might need to sign in again.
  4. Enter your new password, then select Change Password.

Reset your password

  1. Follow the steps to recover your account. You'll be asked some questions to confirm it's your account and an email will be sent to you.  If you don’t get an email:

Android:

Change your password

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open your device's Settings app and then Google and then Manage your Google Account.
  2. At the top, tap Security.
  3. Under "Signing in to Google," tap Password. You might need to sign in.
  4. Enter your new password, then tap Change Password.
    • Tip: When you enter your password on mobile, the first letter isn't case sensitive.

iPhone and iPad

Change your password

    1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
    2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial and then Google Account. If you don't use Gmail, go to myaccount.google.com.

  2. Under "Basic info," tap Password.
  3. Enter your new password, then select Change Password.
