How to get a mailbox key from USPS
If your building has a USPS owned mailbox you can get a key from USPS
Prerequisites: Your name is on the lease for the building associated with the mailbox

Steps to Perform
- Find your local USPS post office
- You can search for it here: https://tools.usps.com/find-location.htm
- Bring a valid ID and a copy of your lease
- Your name must be on the lease or else you cannot get a key
- Wait in line and ask for a mailbox key for your address
- You will be asked to present your lease and ID
- Fees will differ depending on local costs
