Several email companies are requiring specialized app passwords for third-party services, i.e. Apple Mail or Outlook.

Steps to Perform
- For Gmail
- Go to “https://myaccount.google.com/?pli=1”. Alternatively, click on account under the 9 dots on a Google webpage
- Next you will need to click on “Security” and Scroll down to “Signing in to Google”
- Select “App Passwords”, if this option is not available, you may need to turn on 2-Step Verification, you’ve turned on Advanced Protection, or isn’t available due to being set-up by an organization.
- Select the App type and Device and then click “Generate”
- You will need to copy that code and use it as the password for your mail app.
- Go to “https://myaccount.google.com/?pli=1”. Alternatively, click on account under the 9 dots on a Google webpage
- For AOL Mail
- Login to your AOL account on AOL.com and go to your Account Security Page, or use this link “https://login.aol.com/?done=https%3A%2F%2Flogin.aol.com%2Faccount%2Fsecurity%3F.scrumb%3D0&src=mc”
- If logging in, click on account user icon and then go to “Account Security”
- Once logged in click on “Generate App Passwords” or “Manage App Passwords”
- Select your app from the drop-down menu and click “Generate”
- Once generated copy the password and use it as the password for your mail app.
- For AT&T or Bellsouth Mail
- Log in to your AT&T account and go to your Profile
- Then click on “Sign-in Info”
- Select the email you want to generate an app password for.
- Scroll down to “Secure Mail Key” and select “Manage secure mail key”
- Select “Add Secure Mail Key”
- Enter a nickname for the key and then select “Create Secure Mail Key”
- Copy the password and put it as the password for your mail app.
- For Yahoo Mail
- Sign in to your Yahoo mail account, click on your account name, and go to “Account Security”
- Click “Generate App Passwords” or “Manage App Passwords”
- Select your app from the list and click “Generate”
- Copy and paste the password
- Sign in to your Yahoo mail account, click on your account name, and go to “Account Security”
- Currently, you can’t generate app passwords with Hotmail
