Connecting Go Daddy Email to Outlook and Apple Mail

Prerequisites: None

Expected Outcome: Have your Go Daddy Hosted Email on your desired device using either Outlook or Apple Mail

Tools Required: PC with Outlook, Android Phone with Outlook, or any Apple device

Outlook

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Select File, then Add Account.

If you haven't opened Outlook before, you'll see a welcome screen.

3. Enter your Workspace Email address and select Connect.

Note: If Outlook automatically discovers your Workspace Email account, enter your password and select Connect, then skip to step 11.

4. Choose POP or IMAP.

5. Under Incoming mail, enter the Server and Port.

6. If you're using IMAP, for the Encryption method, select SSL/TLS from the list.

If you're using POP, select the checkbox for SSL/TLS.

7. Under Outgoing mail, enter the Server and Port:
    • Server: smtpout.secureserver.net
    • Port: 465

    8. For the Encryption method, select SSL/TLS from the list.
    9. Select Next.
    10. Enter your Password and select Connect.

    11. Once you see confirmation that your email account was added, select Done.


Apple Mail Mac

    1. Open Mail.
      • If you're new to Mail: You'll see Choose a Mail account provider....
      • If you already use Mail: Select Mail, then Add Account. You'll see Choose a Mail account provider....
        Select Other Mail Account, click Continue
    2. Select Other Mail Account and Continue.
      Select Other Mail Account, click Continue
    3. Enter your NameEmail Address and Password. You'll need to enter your Workspace Email address and password (your GoDaddy username and password won't work here.)
    4. Select Sign In.

    5. Enter the Mail server settings and select Sign In.
      • Incoming Mail Server: imap.secureserver.net
      • Outgoing Mail Server: smtpout.secureserver.net

 Note: If the email servers weren't automatically found, you might see an error message. This is normal.

6. Select Done. Mail verifies your account settings and loads your email.
Click Done

If you have more than one Mail account, select Inbox and choose your new email account to see your inbox.

Your email is on your Mac and you're good to go! If you want to add your email to another device, select Previous. If you're all set, head to the next step!

Apple Mail iOS

  1. Open your iPhone or iPad's Settings.
  2. Tap Mail > Accounts. (Depending on your iOS version, you might need to tap Passwords & Accounts.)

  3. Tap Add Account.
    In Mail, tap Accounts
  4. Select the Other account type.
    Tap Other
  5. Tap Add Mail Account.
    Tap Add Mail Account
  6. Enter your account details, and tap Next.

  7. Tap IMAP.
  8. Under New Account, in the Incoming Mail Server section, enter:
    • Host name as imap.secureserver.net
    • Your Workspace Email User Name and Password
  9. In the Outgoing Mail Server section, enter:
    • Host name as smtpout.secureserver.net
    • Your Workspace Email User Name and Password
  10. Tap Next. Your Mail app will discover your account settings and load your email.
  11. Exit the Settings app and tap Mail to open the app.
