How to Connect a Brother Printer to Wi-Fi

This guide was created using a HL-2280DW model printer. Some of these steps may vary for other models

Prerequisites: You need to know the SSID and password for your Wi-Fi network

Expected Outcome: Your Brother Printer will be connected to your Wi-Fi network

Tools Required: A Brother Printer with wireless capabilities

Steps to Perform 

1. Have your Wi-Fi network SSID and password on hand
2. On your printer press the Menu button
   
   1. On some models will have Settings instead of Menu
3. Using the Up and Down buttons scroll down to Network and press OK
4. Scroll to WLAN and press OK
5. Scroll Setup Wizard and press OK
   The printer will now scan for Wi-Fi networks
6. Once the printer finishes scanning scroll until you see your SSID and press OK
7. You will be asked to enter your Wi-Fi networks password
8. Enter the password using the Up and Down buttons then press OK
9. You printer should now connect to your Wi-Fi network
