How to change DNS server on FreshTomato
Change the DNS server assigned to clients the connect to your FreshTomato router
Prerequisites: A router with FreshTomato installed
Difficulty Level: Member • Nerd • Platypus
Estimated Time: 5 - 10 minutes
Expected Outcome: Clients will be assigned the new DNS server
Tools Required: A FreshTomato router
Steps to Perform
- Log into the FreshTomato WebUI
- The default IP address is 192.168.1.1
- The default username is root
- The default password is admin
- Click on Basic then Network
- Under WAN0 look for DNS and select Manual
- Enter the DNS server you wish to use. Here were are using 1.1.1.1 which is CloudFlare
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save to save your new DNS settings
