Attaching a file to an email in Gmail

Prerequisites: Using gmail.com to send email

Estimated Time: 10 minutes 

Expected Outcome: Have your desired file attached to an email in Gmail to be sent to a recipient.

Tools Required: Gmail Account

Steps to Perform 

  1. First Select Compose to start a new email.
  2. Select the paper clip on the bottom of the New Message box in the bottom right of the Window.

3. The last step is to use file explorer to navigate to where you saved the file you would like to send, once you find it double click it and it should be attached.

Note: If the file you wish to share is more than 25MB it will ask if you want to send it as a google drive link, select yes.
