Sometimes the Facetime icon can be grayed out in the Contacts list for one or more contacts. These are a few steps to fix this issue.

Expected Outcome: Facetime icon is blue and ready for use
Tools Required: Apple iPhone or iPad
Steps to Perform
- Restart the device
- Check WiFi or Cellular settings in device
- Settings>WiFi or Cellular
- Ensure either are on (depending on which you currently have access to)
- Scroll down to the list of apps, find Facetime and make sure it is toggled on (green)
- You may also want to try turning WiFi/Cellular off and back on again

- Check that Facetime is turned on
- Settings>Facetime

- Settings>Facetime
- Reset network settings
- Settings>General>Transfer or reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Phone will power itself off and back on
- Be aware that although this will not cause you to lose anything on your phone, it will reset Cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth connections (meaning you will need to either turn them back on, log back into your WiFi network with the password, or pair Bluetooth connections again).
