Comcast offers multiple different options for internet service. This Gizmo Guide will help provide the general steps needed to set up, change, or upgrade your Comcast service.

Setting up Comcast Service
- Go to XFinity's website to check for availability in your area here
- Enter your address in the prompt on the site
- Entering your address will narrow down your options to what is possible in your area
- Follow the on-screen prompts asking how many and what kind of devices you use to help narrow down what service you will need
- The recommended speed will be from 25Mbps (Megabits per second) up to 1000Mbps, also called Gig Connection (1 Gigabit per second)
- From here select "Offers Starting at $xx.xx/Month" to access the Plan Builder
- From here select your plan and select "Add to Cart"
- This method of selecting XFinity service will see Comcast sending a self-install kit that will enable you to get your own internet up and running in no time!
Note: You are not required to sign a contract with Comcast for this service; they have no-contract options for internet, but signing a contract will save money on your monthly bill.
Changing and Upgrading your Comcast Service
To change or upgrade a plan with Comcast, their instructions are as follows:
- First check to see if what you are wanting to change can be accessed on the XFinity app. This includes TV channels, Smart Home Security, and managing premium TV channels.
- If what is needed to be changed is not listed above, Comcast suggests that you schedule a call with a representative.
