iPhones have the built-in feature of having one spot for all emails you could recieve. This is a guide that will show you how to add your email address to the service
Prerequisites: Must own an iPhone and have a valid email address
Difficulty Level: Member • Nerd • Platypus
Estimated Time: 5-10 minutes
Expected Outcome: Your email account will be linked to your iPhone and you will be able to read and interact with all emails
Tools Required: The username and password for your email account
Steps to Perform
- First navigate to settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account
From here, a list of the most common domains will appear. If your account is of any of these domains (iCloud, Microsoft Exchange, Google, Yahoo, Aol, or Outlook) simply select the domain and follow the on-screen instructions to log into your account.
- If your domain is NOT listed, select Other > Add Mail Account and then manually type in your email address and password. Note that this method is a little bit more finicky than using the common login portals, but as long as the address and password are correct, this will work as intended
- Check your Mail app to verify that your
email addresses were successfully added to your iPhone by refreshing the page (pull down from the top of the mail and you’ll see a spinning indicator showing it is loading) or by sending yourself an email from another machine that has your email on it already like a desktop or laptop computer.
